This is the comment policy for news stories and videos posted on Education News Colorado. The policy for the blog/opinion side may differ slightly so please click here to check it out.
We want this site to be a place where people can debate issues vigorously and remain respectful. The debate should be lively, and even pointed at times, but always civil.
Our guidelines:
– No personal attacks. It is possible to disagree with another person without attacking him or her personally.
– Address the issue. Don’t bother with rants or rambles off topic.
– No pseudonyms. Just like in a newspaper’s Letters to the Editor section, we ask that you stand by your comment with your full name.
– In general, comments should be relatively short. If you’d like to discuss a topic at length, you may be a candidate for a blog post in our opinion section. Contact the publisher at agottlieb@ednewscolorado.org if you’d like to be considered for a guest blog spot.
If you think this policy prohibits dialogue, talk to us at EdNews@ednewscolorado.org.
