State officials on Nov. 4 unveiled the first ratings for 2,080 schools or programs under the Education Accountability Act of 2009. An additional 99 ratings were finalized Dec. 6.
Ratings possible are Performance, Improvement, Priority Improvement and Turnaround. The label determines what type of improvement plan a school must file with the state. To learn more about the new state accountability system, see this EdNews’ story.
